about
Our deepest fear is not that we are helpless
These words have haunted me for more than two years. Right now they probably have become a different meaning but I started to write this song long before things have changed. During songwriting it felt like this tune gave me an uplift to overcome the present situation, to burn fears and set fire to hope and glory again.
lyrics
Our biggest fear is not that we are helpless Our deepest fear is we are powerful
We’re all sufficient beyond measure It is our light that scares us most
You, playing small it‘s not a matter (There’s) nothing big about shrinking to a bug
The only thing we do is selling talents It’s our grasp that frightens us
Shine shine shine for any reason
.... Burn your fear hope will leave no scar
Shine shine (Shine) and you’ll see ‘em
Shine for what you do is what you are
The art of making light into the darkness Let us believe we are all safe
Always being careful about your vision it’s who you are that holds you back
The art of making light into the darkness the way of giving hope into your life
are you down for me to walk into this moment where we let our light rise up in the sky
Shine shine shine for any reason
.... Burn your fear hope will leave no scar
Shine shine (Shine) and you’ll see ‘em
Shine for what you do is what you are
It’s your own light that holds you back
